Classification of Premises
The new HKU Faculty of Medicine Building with a gross floor area of 48,250m² was constructed on a hilly side along the Sasson Road within a tight time frame of 23 months. This medical complex, designed with the concept of housing medical teaching and research under one roof, comprises two main building blocks : a 13-storey Laboratory Block, where a clinical research centre with 300 teaching and research laboratories including x-ray lab., dark room, cadaver storage, cold room, D.G. stores, Cat. III lab., operation rooms and seminar rooms etc. is housed, and a 10-storey curvilinear Academic & Administration Block which includes a hi-tech conference center, a medical library, lecture theatres, an education center and faculty offices, etc. Sheltered between the two blocks is the Fan Pui Garden which provides a nice environment for informal interaction, rest and public participation.

Supply, installation, testing & commissioning and maintenance of the complete electrical services installation
Description
The complete electrical services installation including 2x1500kVA generator sets, 9x2500A incomer main switchboards, 20 groups busways, 100 nos. main cables, floor trunking system, bedhead trunking system, external and interior lighting system, CCTV system, CABD system, security system, PA system, induction loop system, UV light control system and gas detection system, etc.
